Material choices

Aluminium
It is an aluminum machined from solid, starting from a block. This aluminum is used for aluminum toolings intended for the aeronautical industry. The choice was made on its machinability so that the details are present as well as on the rendering after polishing, for a jewelry effect, subsequently allowing to have an almost living work with the unpredictable reflections of light due to the prisms and reflective light effects.

Resin
Almay Technologies, using acrylic, epoxy and PU resins in its advanced composite manufacturing, was able to be a source of proposals to meet the NoKoD criteria. The chosen resin is specific. The process of resin casting remains confidential.
This resin is produced with a high carbon content of vegetable origin, certified by an independent laboratory using the analysis of carbon 14 (more than 40% of vegetable origin)
UV resistance. The sculpture will keep its clarity without time limit.
Excellent resistance to impact and thermal shock. Acrylic resins, for example, have less impact resistance.
Good shine, the hand-finishing qualities of Almay Technologies also make it possible to obtain optimal shine. Very high clarity
Total resin colorization control.
Indeed, the resin of the In Mémoria Aluminium is tainted in shades of gray, so that the reflections of the aluminum prevent us from guessing the subtlety of the design of the external car. The resin treatment process, thanks to this resin, makes it possible to control the colorization of the resin. Other processes and other resins prevent, among other things, guaranteeing the colors
